What We Do

welcome to white barn flower co.

We are located in southwest Michigan, near the shores of Lake Michigan. Our 105 acre farm is always busy with activities. Our flower growing season is May through October and we sell wholesale, retail, at farmers markets, on our farm, and through our website. We offer classes and workshops throughout the year. It is a joy to share in the beauty of flowers with others.

About Me

Sharing Beauty & Joy

Mary Renaldi founded White Barn Flower Co. in 2019, following a meaningful shift from a career in public health to a life rooted in the rhythms of the land. After earning her Ph.D. in Public Health, she later discovered her true passion was not behind a desk, but outdoors—cultivating beauty and connection through farming.

Nestled in the heart of Fennville, Michigan, our 105-acre farm is home to flourishing orchards and vibrant fields brimming with both fresh fruit and seasonal flowers. Located just a few miles from the shores of Lake Michigan, the farm reflects the natural charm and richness of the surrounding landscape.

Our journey began with peonies, soon followed by lavender, dahlias, and an ever-growing collection of flowers that unfold with each passing season. What started as a dream has blossomed into a deeply rewarding experience—growing flowers, sharing their beauty, and connecting with the wonderful community that surrounds us.

Our Approach

Sustainable Farming for a Healthy Environment

We utilize farming practices that are as sustainable and all-natural as possible. We focus on biodiversity and habitat protection in order to protect the health of the land. We apply minimal inputs and focus on building healthy soil, which grows healthy plants.

Dahlia Tuber Policy

Our dahlia tuber policy ensures that every tuber is true to variety, contains at least one viable eye, and is guaranteed to grow.

We follow strict sanitation protocols and take a proactive approach to pest management.

Because plant viruses can be transmitted at any time—sometimes by a single insect bite—it is impossible to determine exactly when a dahlia may become infected. It is estimated that more than 87% of dahlia tuber stock carries a virus, and there is currently no known cure.

That said, if you notice any issues, please contact us immediately. If a problem arises that is within our control, we are committed to making it right.

Please note that we cannot be responsible for winter storage methods or for plant performance in subsequent growing seasons.

We reserve the right to request the return of failed tubers or photographic documentation prior to issuing any replacements.
